Our team can meet with you and review any risk factors that could impact a future pregnancy, such as hypertension, diabetes or conditions that require continued use of medications during pregnancy. We will make a plan to address and modify those risks.
We offer counseling regarding results from prior genetic testing. We can also provide additional genetic testing for either baby or parents as needed.
We have partnered with a telehealth company to provide virtual genetic counseling for more rare, complicated or non-pregnancy related genetic needs.
Our perinatal ultrasound technicians have additional training in high risk pregnancy ultrasounds. This expertise allows them to examine the baby's anatomy in more detail. These images are then reviewed by our MFM physician, who has special training in identifying abnormalities or possible concerns that could impact the pregnancy or baby's health.
Cerclage is a stitch that can be placed into the cervix to hold it closed and lower the risk of preterm delivery in high risk patients. If this procedure is needed our MFM physician is specially trained to perform this procedure.
This is test removes a small amount of fluid from around the baby to test their DNA and identify genetic conditions prior to birth.
Our team, including our physician and diabetes educator, will meet with you to make a plan including diet and activity changes to improve blood sugar control. This can also include a group meeting with other patients.
Our team, in conjunction with your OB provider, manages most maternal conditions during pregnancy. This could include anything from diabetes, congenital heart conditions to cancer. We coordinate with your existing care teams to ensure a pregnancy focused care plan.
Our team will start with a level 2 ultrasound to identify any fetal anomalies. This information will then be discussed with you including options for further testing, treatment, management during and after pregnancy. If referral to other specialists is needed this will be arranged by our team.
If your baby is diagnosed with a life limiting condition we will coordinate care prior to delivery so that all care providers are aware of the plan. We can also work with hospice to ensure a smooth transition after delivery.
